President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, Chelsea and Members of the CGI Board of Advisors,
Attached is the monthly tracking report for September for membership and sponsorship for the Annual Meeting, CGI America, CGI U and CGI Latin America. Results reflect activity through September 30, 2013.
Annual Meeting
• Sponsorship: Sponsorship stands at $15.2 million versus a final total of $13.7 million for 2012. This reflects an increase of $200K since the end of August. While we received a late addition of $400K from the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, this was partially offset by a change in our accounting for Coca-Cola revenue to coincide with a change in the term of the company’s grant.
• Membership: We are in the process of reconciling final numbers for the Annual Meeting. Barring something unforeseen, however, it should be an outstanding year for paid membership. We currently show 563 paid members (vs. 470 last year). Of the 563 total, 384 were renewals (47 more than last year), and 179 were new (46 more than last year). Any changes to the final number will come from one of two sources: (i) seventeen (17) people who registered, but then neither paid for nor attended the Annual Meeting; and (ii) seventy-one (71) members who paid, but did not attend the Annual Meeting. The size of the latter pool is consistent with previous years, and we historically have not had a significant number of refund requests from this pool.
CGI America
• Sponsorship: As previously reported, sponsorship finished at $2.8 million versus a final sponsorship level of $2.1 million in 2012.
• Paid Attendance: Total paid attendance finished at 536, versus 468 in 2012. Of the paid attendees, 195 were Annual Meeting members (45 higher than the prior year) and 341 were CGI America-only attendees (23 more than 2012). Revenue from paid attendees grew to $1.3 million, an increase of 12% over the prior year.
CGI U
• As previously reported, the final sponsorship amount was $1.635 million versus $945K for the event last year.
CGI Latin America
• Sponsorship: Sponsorship currently stands at $3.2 million (vs. $1.45 million at the end of August). As you will recall, the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro has agreed to "back stop" our efforts up to $8 million. We are in advanced discussions with Brazilian and other sponsors representing several million in additional support. Current committed sponsors include:
· OAS for $1.0 million
· Itau for $1.0 million
· Amil Participacoes, SA for $500K
· Rockefeller Foundation for $250K
· ExxonMobil for $250K
· IDB for $100K
· Laureate Education for $100K
• Paid Attendance: Total registered paid attendance stands at twenty-six (26), with fourteen (14) representing CGI Latin America-specific attendees and twelve (12) coming from CGI Annual Meeting members and sponsors.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Bob

A note about the staff: The CGI team was terrific at getting things done -- from the big tasks to the small -- to the unexpected. Your team was gracious and unflappable.

Bob and all--
Thanks for this update. I heard from so many people that CGI was the best ever this year. That reflects the hard work and quality of the CGI team. So, kudos for the annual meeting, CGI America and CGI-U. I'm very grateful to all of you.
It looks like we have to switch attention to Brazil so let me know how I can help.
All the best, H

Bob: You and the team should be pleased about where CGI is -- across the Board.
As I told you, I thought this was the strongest CGI yet. The energy level was higher, the platforms were livelier and and the content was a little edgier.
Well done.
Sandy
