I am now back to Paris and I take this opportunity to summarize my meetings with both of you.
First, I would like to express my thanks for having proposed to me to assist you in your efforts to explore avenues for possible settlement of your dispute.
I recall that I have not acted as a lawyer, but just as a friend in order to facilitate a first exchange of views between both of you. I will neither act as a lawyer nor as a witness in the present case, and, as far as I am concerned, I kept and I will keep confidential our conversations.
I hope that, at least, I have contributed to a meeting in person between you, which was an opportunity to express your positions or views. I have urged you to try to find in good faith a fair settlement, and it is still my recommendation.
Since I do not see much progress in this transactional process, I put an end to my amicable mission, being understood that if, in the future, you need me in a way or another, I will be at your disposal, again as a friend and not as a lawyer.
Nevertheless, I stress the fact, for your consideration, that in my view a settlement should imply a compensation for damage incurred to MC2 and Jean-Luc Brunel, and not a mere technical assistance to resolve the difficulties encountered by MC2 and Jean-Luc with Internet and the newspapers.

Dear Jeffrey, Dear Jean- Luc, Thank to Jeffrey for his answer. I assume that either directly or through the lawyers you will be able exchange views on more precise information on the amount of financial losses or industrial damages incurred to the companies. In this type of situation, there is also a part of the damage which is linked to the personal reputation and image, and to the moral and psychological sufferings deriving from these circumstances. This is not the object of a mechanical assessment. I am sure that, between good faith people and friends,you will find a time -table and a structure to discuss this matter , and hopefully to reach a happy outcome. In any case, I think a lump sum acceptable by both of you, together with statements or steps appropriate to restore MC2 and JL' s image , might be the two essential aspects of a final solution.
