Talked to Vincent today. He said that he h=d been contacted by Max's lawyer -- apparently some big shot insurance=lawyer -- who wanted to move towards a settlement out of court, and felt h= could bring Harry's lawyer into this. Vincent's own proposa= turns out to be what you suggested some time ago, and then I proposed to =arry without response: to arrange to divide up the Trust and then liquidat= it. We said OK. He wants to consult a tax lawyer to look into=what's involved in closing the Trust. We told him that the only =erson we trust in this matter is Richard Kahn, and we would therefore cons=lt with him along the way and want him to be apprised of what's taking=place.

I wonder=whether this is really the right thing to do now. Vincent seems to f=el that a settlement is possible that will end the matter of the trust on =ssentially the terms I proposed (at your suggestion) some time ago. =ouldn't it make sense to see if this can proceed before writing a lett=r, which would essentially repeat what is in our petition we filed, which =eviews all the facts.

You're suggesting that I write a l=tter that reviews the failures of the Trustees to provide relevant informa=ion about distributions from the trust, including the obligatory distribut=ons to me (which we have no record of receiving)? Anything else?0=A0 To whom should the letter be addressed?

Shouldn't I consult =ith Vincent before doing anything? Don't want him to feel that I&=39;m making an end-run around his efforts on our behalf.

And about=the settlement, I don't care how much money is involved, I am no= going to sign a settlement agreement saying that Harry and Max did not doranything wrong, because I am not going to lie.

I am happy if Noam finds a way to establish a settlement wi=h his family, because a family should not go to court, from my understandi=g. And the whole situation that a son comes to challenge his father becaus= of money, it is totally surreal to me. But I am not going to accept=their conditions, as Harry already suggested in a letter to Noam for Noam =o shield him and Max from what they have done wrong.
