thanks, i really appreciate it. 1. the island is only for me and the same guests, no more than 6. the concept is privacy, peace and quiet. surprises are not surprises the 10th time. the spaces need their own character. it is only me that will walk the island 90 percent of the time. I would like to think of it as having different experiences. rock pool. cave? modern? high tech. other robinson crusoe, but he gets old quickly? :). clean and easily maintained is another issue. there is nothing of any quality in the entire caribbean. that's why these two islands will be iconic. they are the only private islands in us waters. most islands are in the bahamas. or vi. for good and for bad. we are subject to US codes. but under protection of us coast guard, hospitals are within reach, and fed ex delivers. most islands need boat rides and customs from the us. high speed internet is here, as st croix is the fiber hub for us - africa. the wind is the biggest environmental issue. the current main house pool is currently useless as the wind is usually too great to enjoy a calm swim. it is a hurricane zone and an earthquake zone. very unusual to have both.
