I did a re-measurement this morning while hanging the drapes.

New measurements: 12 Panels of 9ft Long (108in) 4 Panels of 11ft 3in Long (135in) All 12 Panels are 4ft Wide (48in)

We will need 16 Panels in Black w/Blackout backing for our Home Theater.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. We are still trying to see what the shipping costs would be to the U.S. Virgin Islands. It could be very expensive. We are trying to get some approximate weights and dimensions of the packages from the vendor and then we need to get a quote from DHL. Our vendor cannot ship outside the US. The "blackout" material on the back of each panel can be ordered in either white or black.

Not to worry, Thank you for the Quote on the drapes. Is there a big difference between the White backing vs the Black backing? Will the room be extra dark with Black Drapes & Black backing? Does the White backing give off a shine or a glow from light?

Hi Ann,
Thanks for getting back to me. The most common blackout material ordered is the White. It's completely hidden from view once the drapes are installed and I think one reason it is preferred is that it reflects the light away from the window, etc. The Black material also works well but since it soaks up the light they tend to get very hot if they are in front of a large, sunny window.
The blackout effect should be the same regardless of which color velour you choose for the actual panels. The Black velour is popular but there are also other darker colors to choose from. If you go to the page and scroll down a bit you will see the 12 different colors available for these drapes. So I would suggest choosing the color you like best since they will all be effective in blocking out the light.

Black drapes with White backing sounds good. Our existing drapes have a white backing and the sunlight didn't shine through.
