John and Jake,
Did you listen to Colin Powell today on Meet the press. He describes his use of email at State. He said he had two computer systems on his desk. One system he used for classified documents and the other was a laptop that he used for all the rest. He
then clarified that the laptop was used for mostly administrative tasks. It seems to me that this validates that Colin Powell was doing the same thing that Hillary was. He used a personal system for Unclass communication and then had the class system for
classified documents. I don’t think that Chuck Todd got this. If he did, not did not choose to highlight it. Colin Powell served before smartphones. If he had a laptop in his office if had to be used with a personal email account. He never mentioned using
a terminal for the unclass documents. At that time I don’t think there was even a way to remote in the state.gov. When you think about 2000 –2005 when he served he would have almost had to use his personal email for unclass documents if he wanted to send
email when not at state. Anyway, this his admission that he was doing routinely the exact same thing that Hillary was doing. If I am right, I think this is a good validation.
