We're just one day away from change. Election Day is tomorrow -- Tuesday, November 4th. We've asked you to do a lot over the course of this campaign, and you've always come through. Right now, I'm asking you to do one last thing -- vote tomorrow, and make sure everyone you know votes, too. Watch a short video about how far we've come, and how close we are. Dear John, My name is Todd Beeton and I'm proud to be Senator Gillibrand's Internet Director. Ever since she was elected to Congress, Kirsten has been pushing the envelope online. As a new member of the House of Representatives, she was the first member of Congress ever to put her earmarks, financial disclosures, and Congressional schedule online. Now, earmark disclosure is a requirement of all members of Congress. Since becoming Senator, she has reached out in an unprecedented way to the blogosphere and is very active on Facebook and Twitter. And back in February, the campaign tried something new -- new to us and a first for any sitting Senator -- a live video chat on Facebook. It was a huge success. One commenter even called it "an FDR fireside chat for the 21st Century." We knew from the enthusiastic response that we would definitely be doing it again. I'm glad to announce that we've scheduled our second live video chat tomorrow at 5pm EDT. You can click here to RSVP for the chat. John -- I've been through many Election Days -- every one is a rush of nerves, excitement, anxiety, and exhaustion all at once. The secret to getting through: Always be doing something. So here's a resource you can keep coming back to until the polls close. Obviously, the most important thing you need to do is vote. Confirm your polling location and hours. Make sure you ask some neighbors to go with you when you head over. But when you're done with that, don't wait around for the news. Contributions or gifts to Obama Victory Fund 2012 are not tax deductible. The first $2,500 from a contributor to Obama Victory Fund 2012 will be allocated to Obama for America, designated for the general election. The next $30,800 from a contributor will be allocated to the Democratic National Committee. Any additional amount(s) from a contributor will be divided among the State Democratic Party Committees as follows, up to $10,000 per committee and subject to the biennial aggregate limits: OH (24%), FL (15%); WI (12%); IA (10%); NV (10%); VA (9%); CO (7%); NC (7%); PA (3%); and NH (3%). A contributor may designate a contribution for a particular participant. This allocation formula may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution. Contributions will be used in connection with a Federal election, may be spent on any activities of the participants as each committee determines in its sole discretion, and will not be earmarked for any particular candidate. |
