Letter from Select Committee Ds

Fyi ... The Select Committee Democrats sent a letter to Chairman Gowdy this morning.  The letter says that "Republicans have engaged in a series of selective leaks of inaccurate and incomplete information" and that to correct this, complete transcripts need to be released.

The letter uses Cheryl's transcript as the leading example and contains multiple excerpts from the transcript to illustrate why the full transcript should be in the public domain, including what Cheryl said about the Secretary's leadership in response to the attacks.

The letter also explains why Chairman Gowdy's assertion that the transcript be treated as "classified" is wrong and why the Republicans should not use classification to avoid embarrassment.

The letter gives Chairman Gowdy five days to flag any parts of the full transcript that he believe should not be public and says the Democrats will release the full transcript at that point.
