I didn’t feel I learned anything…I think potential donors/fundraisers would rather hear you personally talk broad strategy around the overall campaign than go through a bunch of polling slides. Also, I assume the majority of these individuals will be Hillstarters so they have ample fundraising experience, but for me personally, I could have benefited from getting a clear understanding of the nuances/details of what the campaign expects from us and how we can support it. Lastly, I wouldn’t leave it open for too many questions from the crowd – most of the people seemed so eager to give you their strategy for the campaign, or, ask what the campaign is going to do for them (i.e., surrogates). It got petty very quickly. I don’t envy you doing these roadshows. See you a week from Friday.
