Team,
Attaching draft TPs for HRC's remarks at the Quad Cities and Des Moines Labor Day events. These closely track the remarks Lauren prepared for her Saturday NH labor reception, but with more on trade and Citizens United, per Nikki, and including the occupations that will be represented at these picnics near the end, per team Iowa.
Please send any edits to me by this evening so we can get these to the book. Thanks!
Kristina

This looks good to me. Krista - I know it's not in here, but just one flag that I should have said earlier- the UAW is strong in Burlington b/c of employees at Champion spark plug and Case IH. Most of the UAW work at Case IH. Then let's do it unless Nikki says otherwise.

We (policy) are also inclined to delete trade from affirmative remarks. On Sun, Sep 6, 2015 at 7:02 PM, Jennifer Palmieri <jpalmieri@hillaryclinton.com> wrote:Defer to Nikki - my only question is do we need to proactively bring
up trade, as we do here, or not.
Also - these seem a little long. How long is this?

Apologies for late reply. I'm good proactively leaving out trade. We proactively included it in the NV AFLCIO Convention because it was the issue and I had thought better to just address it. It fell flat.
