my other 2 cents

It feels like someone needs to be officially in charge of this effort from the US/donor community that's not WHO/CDC - more like disaster relief and donor coordination (if this exists I don't read about it)

For example, my friend Betsy just emailed me and said she was just at a HRC dinner with Huma and the head of CVS Gov't relations and they are prepared to do a big donation of latex gloves, etc (I think they want to do through CGI). I doubt they really know who to work through or the best way to do this.

Anyways, I bet there are lots of opportunities but no one is coordinating this / trying to drum up support in a useful way (like Clinton-Bush stuff). I guess it isn't helping the airports and ports are somewhat cut off.
