In May 2015, Eva Dubin — wife of hedge fund billionaire Glenn Dubin — introduced Epstein to Dr. Peter Attia, then president of the Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI). Within days, Attia was arranging lab work at Epstein's home: "I've just asked my lab in Richmond, VA to send a kit to Jeffrey's address at 9 E 71." His phlebotomist made house calls for blood draws.
After reviewing Epstein's blood work, Attia prescribed livalo (statin), ubiquinone (CoQ10), trilipix (fenofibric acid), and metformin — a specific longevity drug stack. Attia wrote: "My goal is to combine the best evidence of diet/sleep/exercise/drugs/hormones into a super longevity package." Epstein forwarded the manifesto to Larry Summers.
Attia drew a direct parallel: "People come to you for a low fanfare, below the radar desire to compound their wealth. People do the same with me for their health." He brokered introductions between Epstein, Joi Ito, and Reid Hoffman, and asked Epstein to connect him with Bill Gates for NuSI funding.
