The Spy Store Run

On February 5, 2014, Epstein's fixer drove to the Spy Store in Fort Lauderdale and purchased three motion-detecting hidden cameras. The follow-up message: "amazing how small they are, the size of Thumb nail drive, 64 hour recording." The cameras were installed in Kleenex boxes the same day they were purchased.

The Purchase Order

Epstein emailed his fixer: "lets get three motion detected hidden cameras that record." The response: "I already two purchased the Motion sensor camera from the Spy Store in fort Lauderdale... I'm installing them into Kleenex boxes now." Motion-activated, 64-hour recording, thumb-drive sized.

Cameras in the Massage Room

Seven years before the 2014 purchase, Epstein's own defense attorneys drafted a letter that included language about "cameras in the massage room." Epstein personally struck the passage and wrote in the margin: "IT would be illegal." The edit demonstrates awareness that recording victims without consent was criminal — awareness that did not stop the installations.

The Massage Room Admission

In 2006, reviewing a Dershowitz defense letter draft, Epstein wrote: "I would amend the place where it says he wishes I had cameras in the massage room... IT would be illegal." He knew the law — and bought cameras anyway.

The Documentation Trail

The Spy Store purchase appears in email correspondence recovered from Epstein's accounts. The specificity — store name, location, product description, same-day installation — suggests routine procurement rather than a one-time event. Investigators found no inventory of where all cameras were ultimately placed.
