yes that is a strong NY Times piece in your favour—a couple of minor errors—it was not prison but county jail and it was a bit more than massages—but the piece is convincing that it would be a long haul to prove federal charges against you and it should quiet down much of the press frenzy

meanwhile i am suffering some whiplash from the unwise comment i made that your behaviour was not "so heinous" because of later sexual maturation in the past—my host at East Carolina University told me right after picking me up at the Raleigh/Durham airport that someone had seen my comments on the intemet and reported them to the Department Chair and it climbed up to the Provost who insisted that i meet with the Department Chair and the Dean to be questioned before i would be permitted to lecture

the meeting went well and so did my two talks—though i heard the original complainer had hooked in 6 more biology faculty who then skipped the talks -so i may put something on the intemet myself to protect me from this in the future

a New Yorker writer interviewed me extensively regarding an 11,000 word piece she has written on Dershowitz and she wanted to know about the cancellation of my talk by Nowak in 2017—she had already heard of your role—the interviews went very well, she says she has to cut it to 8000 words but expects it to be released in —5 weeks—i will send you a link

am still perplexed about your flipping regarding me—it started with the Chapman debacle so i wondered if you thought i had raised your name with others—i raised it with no one, not at Chapman, nor anywhere else—your name came up only once when Gordon raised it
