Hi Lawrence,

I've been thinking of you a lot during this whole ordeal, and I wanted you to know that. As a colleague and fellow atheist, I think it's dreadful the way this witch (warlock?) hunt has targeted you. I was at the Sam Harris event right after the Buzzfeed article appeared, and that was the first I heard about it. I had dinner with Cynthia Stonnington last evening and she said that you had come over to visit with Jim and that you had an amazingly positive attitude about it all. Good for you! It is certainly ASU's loss (not to mention all the members of the global scientific community) to ostracize you for such trivial allegations. At least it's paid leave! Just wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you—please keep up your great work! Kimberly

This is the person that my friend, law prof at ASU recommended.. (a) she is a woman, (b) she was dean of the music school, (c) he has spoken to her and she is livid.. she thinks even if everything in buzzfeed was true it is trivial. Can we talk this a.m.? Justin is calling me in an hour.. I plan to tell him she is my choice and thank him for his help so far, and tell him at this point there is nothing left for him to do. I also plan to send doc into OEI this morning.. And next I plan to work on letter to provost lodging an official complaint against OEI as an ASU employee.. I think there is no need to wait for conciliation process to end before doing this, as I think he should get the idea by now that OEI has problems. Then I plan to start investigating counsel in Australia. Sound good? Please call before I speak to Justin. thanks.
