We have now arranged for you to spend the week at the Courtauld Institute. I think it will be a very interesting week with a variety of work in the library, helping out with the digitalisation project, as well as hopefully some `shadowing' of the Director Deborah Swallows. She is extremely good and absolutely delightful.

I have not heard back from the Munch museum yet and so suggest that we leave that for now. I suggest that we `save' Blomqvist for a summer holiday, perhaps the one after your first year, should that be of interest. I think this should be very straight forward to arrange.

I will connect you with the Courtauld in due course. In the meantime work hard (and have fun!). Good luck.

If you apply to NYU I assume that you are applying for early decision (this improves your chances by ca 4x) and I see that the deadline for this is 1st November. So any work experience would then need to be in your October autumn break. Would you happen to have the dates for this?

I think we should try to aim for something with a brand/name which is known in the US.

My thinking would be:

Courtauld Gallery, London (but this closed for refurbishment on 3rd September so a job here could be quite boring). Still, it is a great name and the Director is a good friend of mine.

Munch museum, Oslo. They are in the process of moving, so could be that internships would be low priority for them. I spent two days with the director last week and he is coming to a dinner I am hosting in London next month.

Blomqvist Kunsthandel, Oslo. I know them well and think we could arrange something here.

Hovikodden, Oslo. I know the director well, but I am uncertain as to whether they take interns.

Nasjonalmuseum, Oslo, ditto

It was such a pleasure to meet you at my mothers reception in the residence on the 16 May 2018. I really appreciated our conversation and all the interesting things you were kind enough to share with me.

I have now just returned to school to finish my last year before hopefully heading off to University. I am now in the process of writing my UCAS/Common Application. My first choice is to study History of Art at NYU. I am also applying to some British universities.

Before I send my application in I would like gain as much much work experience in the art world as possible. In July I attended the Chairmans Programme at Christie's. That was an extremely rewarding and educational experience. Therefore, following our conversation I would like to seek your advice on any other possibilities for gaining further experience.
