yes, he loved it. i told him i had the answer man to all customs questions. are port of entry laws different for each country? they cant claim asylum in that space ? but can be prosecuted. ?

Yes, port of entry laws are based on the home country, but they're all basically the same.

The port of entry is where they claim asylum, but they can also claim it "in country".

What exactly do you mean by prosecuted? Prosecuted for criminal activity at the POE? Or processed for removal?

if they strike someone in the area , and say they cllaim asylum ? us laws. Intl laws. who has prioirty immigration or police

Depends who they strike, one of the federal officers, then ifs a violation of US Code, so we would be processing the individual, if they struck anyone else, the AUSA would have the first right of refusal, but if they decline, we can call the locals.

If they then claim asylum, we would begin the process for removal and hand them over to either ICE or the locals.

All vessels intercepted at sea and brought into the US are presumed to be arriving from foreign and answer to us.

They can, especially if it's the Coast Guard who interdicts them.
