Subject: Request regarding Noam Chomsk
To: "Mr. Samuel E. Bain Jr."
Cc: Noam Chomsky
Dear Sam,
Noam has requested that we look into a discrepancy on his behalf regarding a RMD distribution made on January 22, 2015 in the amount of $187,000. He states that he has been unable to determine where these funds went. In your records, it shows this distribution was made to the Noam Chomsky Revocable Trust and then subsequently wired to his checking account. Noam states that a deposit was made into his checking account on that date in the amount of $70,000, but not the full amount. We can also see from your records that distributions totalling $150,000 were made from the Noam Chomsky Revocable Trust during the period of January 26,2015 — February 4, 2015, which may account for some of these funds, but not the total, and none of these distributions show a wire/deposit into the checking account. We are unable to go any further in our investigation as we have no other records to check.
Please let me know with whom on your team I can coordinate to look into this matter so that we can provide Noam with full detail into the disbursements associated with the $187,000 RMD. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.
Warm regards,
Deborah

That's curious. Could you write again, and if he doesn't respond quickly we'll have to think about further action. That's a lot of money to just disappear.

I hadn't realized that the conflict discussed in connection with Gene's proposal extending to pursuing the matter of the apparent disappearance of these funds. If Bainco continues to refuse to provide information, I will then have to pursue other methods.

I wonder whether this should be the first priority. Seems to me that Harry is the one taking really disgraceful positions now, and his petition, with its ugly insinuations about Valeria (I'll skip about me), is coming to court very soon, and if uncontested and granted, will get rid of Max anyway.
That aside, until I get the actual documents I don't really know what I can write that would be convincing, to the committee or to the public. I don't know the answers to the questions about distributions since 2009, or even whether the legally obligated sums were paid to me.

So now we learn that she won't pursue the matter of the missing 100+k. What next?
Also, how do you think we should react to Harry's disgusting petition to the court demanding full authority over the Marital Trust, including the insinuations about Valeria?
Right now waiting to see whether Max will respond to the queries. I rather doubt it.
If legal actions are necessary, we're kind of in a bind. Have a good local attorney for writing wills, setting up trusts, and that sort of thing. But I doubt that he'd want to be involved in Massachusetts affairs. Any suggestions?
