Re: DAF discussion
I think the narrative with the potential partners starts with a broader discussion than what we had before.
Here are some slides that show some of the key discussion points I think are worth stepping through.
Essentially I am describing the dilemma I faced in figuring out about giving and how the only path I saw was to create a new institution which is now working very well.
I say that doing scale philanthropy well requires a lot of personal time. The new partnership approach would try to let people not give up all their time but feel good about their giving impact.
I want to add some things at the end talking about some examples (woman and children, K-12 education, malaria, etc..).
I need to list the silos and some of the specific conditions of the partnership.
If this looks like it might work let me know and I will fill it in more.
Afraid not . They all know these things . They need help and solutions . They should see you as a friend that's been there . I think it should be about them and their needs . If you are ok with it , at least the people I know would rather ask questions . Can we speak ?
