Following our phone discussion with Mr. Epstein, I would like to inform that before we send somebody to USVI, we ask you to carry out the following activities:
I. Please send a picture of the boat laying on the water taken from the side - so we see the trim of the boat
Please check if the bilge plug (in the lowest point of the transom) is correctly fitted - that there is no water ingress
As I understood, the boat is making noise even when it is not cruising?
I also understood that you had covered the entrance to the bow compartment in order to check if the sound difference?
Please send the model of Yamaha engines mounted on the boat
If the video's sent by you few days ago give the actual sound reception, then this sound is not untypical for a RIB cabin boat.
However in order to soundproof the cabin, we suggest to cover the place where you stand in the bow compartment with a foam block and additionally mount a door at the entrance.

both the island personnel and mr epstein have had many cabin ribs over the years. this is nothing like anything either mr esptein or his experienced crew have ever heard . It is virtually impossible to drive it without head phones on and the pounding is extraordinary. the boat today is useless to both mr esptein and his island. it is not merely the sound but the pounding of the boat as it moves through the seas.

I do not think you are understanding our concerns. We believe that this particular boat is the issue. We have had ten different people including customs agents, all agree that there is something dramatically wrong.
That is why we would like you or someone from your company to see boat immediately.
Please let me know when this can occur as Mr. Epstein said he would pay for your travel expenses.

Regarding the travel plans, we are applying for entrance visa to USA, this might take approx. 20 working days.
Maybe I will come myself- I need to renew my Canadian passport.
In the meantime, we are still investigating the open issues, and have contacted an experienced sound surveyor from a technical university and independent sound research center.
Please supply us with some sound recording made by a professionaUsemi-professional microphone or at least a PC with e.g. Windows Recorder:
- In four different places:
a. in the bow compartment of the cabin
b. in the middle of cabin
c. outside the cabin
d. in the middle of cabin after making a simple foam sheet curtain (fixed with tape) of the entrance to the bow
Please send a video of boat while cruising (better to record from another boat which is cruising next to the Sportis)
Engines can be in standard regulated up/down on bolts. Please inform what is the still possible regulation (how many bolts up/down can be adjusted) in this particular case
P.S. I do have good news on the baby front!
Since last Friday (7th Feb) I am the father of small Peter.
