After the horrible things that weren't on my to-do list - from the burglary in my home to the fire in Napa where my daughter, her husband, and their child had to evacuate from their house — so here's some good news. I sent this email to a friend who's a cultural correspondent at Associated Press:

Hey John,

Below is finally a link to my collection that I had to trim down from 700 pages to 400. Deleted all those babies. Fantagraphics Press will publish it next year. Of course you're not obliged to read it, but I would have much appreciation if you would pass it on to the AP book editor.

If you can, let me know as soon as you get an advance copy of the book so I can get it to the book editor for review possibilities. I may be able to review it myself if he can't.

P.S. Of course I'm wondering whether the Gratitude Council Meeting decided to continue with our contract, or did I do something — or not do something — that I was supposed to. Please let know so that I can stop drooling.
