hello mr epstein.

i am mica voigt, wife of joscha bach. actually i am not the perfect guide because i am in the end of my pregnancy and we have this little wild son which is not as good to handle in sightseeing tours but i can give you some suggestions.

tomorrow in the morning around 10:30 i will probably visit an exhibition of modem drawings in the kulturforum/ kupferstichkabinett:

http://www.berlin.de/orte/museurn/kupferstichkabinett/

it s located at potsdamer platz. there they can find several good exhibitions and museums: neue nationalgalerie and the kulturforum, especially the gemaldegalerie offers great collections of art through the centuries. another interesting cultural spot is the museumsinsel at hackescher market with the pergamonmuseum and very nice streets and bridges around the spree river.there they could even book a short or longer boat trips at every corner.

for nightlife i can strongly recommend the berghain club: http://berghain.de/events there they could easily spend the whole night in an fascinating ambiente.

prenzlauer berg is the district where we actually live. the alternative scene is quite lost now in-between the modem family coffee places. a good idea is to spend the sunday late noon or afternoon at mauerpark with its vibrant flea market and karaoke shows.

the area nearby around oderberger strasse and kastanienallee is also worth a visit and full of more ecnic coffee and lunch places.

at friedrichshain it s the area around simon- dach- strasse which is worth a stroll in the evening.

if they feel like visit the park the tiergarten and the schleusenkrug at the channel between tiergarten and zooligscher garten could be nice to cool down.

at kreuzberg you still sing the most multicultural atmosphere. the area around kottbusser tor at the maybachufer (turkish market at friday) and oranienstrasse is very interesting.

i am sure they will explore a lot of great places if they follow these directions and just let themselves stroll through the streets around these places.

if there are more questions they can mail me: or call me:

greetings from 37 degrees hot berlin,

mira
