The sensationalized reference in a handful of media ,to calls from school girls or school children is blatantly misleading. The calls from school girls or school children being referenced were in fact college students in their 20s and a 22 year old who was a student in a massage school.
Aside from the fact that these and other assertions that have been reported in the media on this matter is inaccurate, much of this information is emanating from plaintiffs lawyers who are seeking monetary advantage from Mr. Epstein --one whom is currently serving a 50 year sentence for fabricating Epstein-related cases. and individuals who are seeking their 15 minutes of fame, who are also making statements that are demonstrably false.
Our criminal justice system is based on finality and on encouraging people who made mistakes to suffer a single punishment and then have a chance at a new life. Mr. Epstein has paid that price for his past mistakes. There is absolutely no allegation of any such conduct after 2005 and all of what has been pled to or even alleged occurred long before that.
As Mr. Epstein said through a spokesman in a statement, this was a different time in his life and one, with the help of counseling from professionals, he has put behind him. He is a different person today than he was when these events occurred many years ago. He is focusing on helping the community through educational, scientific and healthcare philanthropic contributions, as well as discharging his responsibility as a financier at the highest professional level.
If we don't say what she is saying is inaccurate, I think we can just take it out. That really is the purpose here. What I don't want to do is have someone respond: "Yeah, she is seeking her 15 minutes of fame, but you are not saying what she is saying is false.
