amy why not go straight across the bay to the nearest point to point distance from lsj to gsj and run the additional on land/?

Mainly because of the saltponds and terrain.

could we do it.? and find a way , this way the cable is super short. little impact. easy to fix a problem. land cable. is easier to find bury fix. , if we put it south of that out cropping, we could stay away from salt ponds also it is only a narrow trench/
