I have been thinking about the way forward for abu dhabi, and I do believe that scientific innovation is a field that is not tapped into by the UAE, even though we now have tapped into so many fields I would like us to throw some ideas around and maybe you could propose something that could be taken forward to HH and perhaps we could start something!!!!

To unleash the potential of Abu Dhabi. and the UAE , I think there might be a more forward looking way. At present , as HH and I discussed , a great deal of the money spent , is in essence looking backward. Museums accumulating works of the past, art , auto racing, ( a vast majority , western culture ), and housing it in modern design. When you asked me to send you a book to read so that you may gain a feeling for today's science , it encompassed the past way of learning. - books . I suggest you start with the Ted Talks, On the left of the screen , only view" jaw dropping " talks. Sixth sense, regenerative medicine, new interfaces for computers. etc.. I think HH , might find intellectual bungee jumping as exciting as the actual physical event he enjoys so much.. I would quote a Chinese expression that says that" if you spend most of your time focused on the past , it is your backside that is facing the future." I believe that new ideas, great innovators ,pull the world up from the top. I am in the process of funding true genius awards. I would suggest that true power, will not be in owning the tallest building or the largest enclosed space, but guiding , nourishing, and encouraging , those ideas that will help shape the future.
