Please call me when you have 5 minutes free. I just got off the phone with Bob D'Loren the licensing expert that I brought in to help Sarah with her deal. He has a good idea.
You will remember that he has brought the Chefs Diet to the table. He has pressed them over the last 2 weeks on submitting a term sheet to Sarah.
We will get it soon.
His idea is the following. Sarah and the Chef Diet company are the answer to each others problems. When they lost the Zone diet contract, their sales have steadily declined to $16mm and advertising was the first budget to be slashed which will create a self perpetuating downward spiral.
Sarah would change everything for them. They want to raise capital around a marketing plan that would promote her in a huge way. So, if we raise capital via your contacts, 80% of the capital can go to invest in the Chef Diet and 20% can go to capitalizing Fergie Inc. Both businesses will feed off of each other and Fergie Inc can then do all the other things that we have planned for her. I will also get a term sheet from Direct Brands and we can plug that into Fergie Inc along with its Chef Diet deal thus further creating demonstrable value into which to invest.
Bob D'Loren would then also be part of the hold co as he is one of the most talented licensing experts in the country. He thinks we could build a business with significant royalty streams.
