Re: Fwd:
my advice is to take a breath and deal with it up-front/ tell gordon the whole truth.. you are disappointed, however, his remaining in his position is untenable. he lacks support, and you do not want to be seen as anything but i true loyal subject. you would be being duplicitous to make believe there was not a crisis in the future. He knows you, if you go off on vacation and then the hatchets come in , he will know it was you , and you would have lost his and others respect.. YOU are super strong.. tell the truth,
this was my email from thanksgiving. , i think there is a risk that he now also needs a scapegoat.
Perhaps but either way - direct or not - he cannot take the truth. He needs 5 years of therapy... Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device
If I continue as now people will say I am one of the few on y rg figures. n ave o eliver a reasonable campaign that only he fucks up. And that I perform well in the campaign itself. That I was bigger than the lot of them. If you have time try and get my interview on the BBC Politics Show last Sunday (last item in prog)>
lets not dwell on him, i am only interested in how this plays out for you.
strangle the recovery at birth.. a little graphic . but you are right, you could win if you ran, however, you will be seen as the architect of a losing campaign, your loyalty i believe will not be rewarded , I would consider taking a strong position, teh at least when gordon does not follow ,you will have been seen to have given great advice that wasn't taken and therefore he lost. if you merely play his brilliant party speaker, I fear , you will be attached to the eventual smell.
difficult to run with him and then against him but if anyone can do it, I can.
don't forget feb 17-19 and march 2-3 in NY
