Re: Jeffrey Epstein
NOT FOR PUBLICATION
Dear Mr. Schultz,
I would like to thank you and the Editorial Board for the editorial on Monday, July 7, 2008, "Rich man fought the law -- and he mostly won" and for the Palm Beach Post's general of treatment of the subject of the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein throughout the past two years. In particular, Larry Keller's story, "Police chief's reputation helps discredit attacks" was very much appreciated. Elisa Cramer's editorials, "Asking for it? No, asking for justice" and "He was over 50. And they were girls" were exactly on point. Andrew Marra's reporting was fair and balanced. While the sentencing may not have been what you or I would have preferred, please know that without the Palm Beach Post's editorials, I am confident that the outcome would have been infinitely less favorable.

Wow. Especially these days, with all the worries about newspapers, that's wonderful to hear. I won't publish it, but I will circulate it. Thanks very much. And nice work on your end, of course. It must have amused you to see people like Ken Starr and Alan Dershowitz work so hard for such a client. Could that have been because he paid so well?
