You misread me completely. I didn't want to invade your space, nothing more.

I have missed your friendship and companionship more than you could possibly know.

If you're truly older and wiser, you should know that my affection for you was deep, genuine and ever-lasting. In case you forgot, I hope this sincere reminder is sufficient.

It would be really nice to see you again-not by accident on a street comer but for real, as two lifelong friends who decided to re-connect permanently.

I was in the hospital this morning for my semi-annual oncological exam. I passed, so I'd love to celebrate with you before my 65th birthday on Thursday on very soon thereafter.

It's been a long time, Jeff! Far too long!
