The guys which includes our contacts in country and in the US want 50% of the profits, after expenses and monies returned to the government. And they would like to get this understanding in writing prior to delivering the desired mandate and other agreements to insure a clear understanding and for their protection. Is that okay with you? And if so, how would you like to paper the arrangement?

I am unclear, of what they want.?. what piece does the govt get?. what access to info do we get. ? protections.. you can simply use a standard legal contingency agreement, you can pull it off the internet.. jurisdiction that they want. U.S> etc. This is silly, Either there is a real person, with real authority, or this is a waste of time.

The precedent that we can use is the "Whistleblower payout" whereby the US government pays informers up to 1/3 of monies recovered by the government. I would suggest that we lower this to 25%, after our recovery of our expenses, which should mean hundreds of millions (if not billions) collectively. They are asking for half of our net, since their side has to share with the locals in addition to spreading the love in their respective regions. As you aptly point out jurisdiction is meaningless since this agreement should not see the light of day, but to make people comfortable I suggest the UK or the Netherlands. What they really want is a piece of paper that they can point to that denotes theirs and their associates' shares, which I am sure will be used (and is needed) for them to get the written authority/mandate from the decision maker. They say that with this and the draft of the mandate/Power of Authority, THEY WILL GET the written mandate. Jeffrey, these people don't know you and all that they are asking for is a written understanding of the split, structure and process.... Which seems reasonable to me... Think about it, we have nothing to lose, since no one is asking for anything upfront... So I ask that you be patient and supportive and they will either come through or they won't.
