New Debate: Trump is making America great again

Mon 24th April. 6.45pm, Emmanuel Centre

Speakers for the motion

Is Donald Trump making America great again? Or are his policies taking the country into dangerously illiberal territory? In this major debate to mark Trump's first 100 days in office, our two Trump supporters will be Conrad Black, the financier and historian who has written extensively about the United States, and Arron Banks, the former UKIP donor who met with Trump just days after his election. Opposing them will be two of Trump's fiercest critics - Anne Applebaum, the Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and Washington Post columnist, and Khizr Khan. the constitutional lawyer who made headlines at the Democratic convention when he spoke about his son who was killed in action in Iraq.
