The Lolita book is bubbling away in a corner of my brain, but I have to keep it on the back burner, since I have a fellowship to write the biography of Karl Popper and really have to finish that this time, having allowed myself to get distracted before by Nabokov and Darwin on another fellowship for the same project. It's much harder for me to research and write than anything on Nabokov, but Popper's another monumentally important person with still a lot to say to the world, so for that reason as well I have to do it.

But if you want to start funding me on the Lolita project, that would be fine by me, although I'd mostly park the money and just keep the ideas quietly bubbling until I really focused on the project, when I'd draw on the bulk of the money. I really have to concentrate on the Popper until it's done.
