Current owners of our IP have suddenly decided they're going to win the apple appeal. & even if they don't, other cases downstream are even bigger (far bigger), & even if they don't do that, the company itself will be worth money--bolt from the blue!--so they want to be in charge of my & Eric's new activity streams company or revived Mirror Worlds Tech; but for many reasons we want to be independent--but we can't upset Plainfield--& so are entertaining one of their potential investors at 10 this AM.

Doing this new-company stuff is a waste of my time--I do it badly, & meanwhile am not doing other things I do well; just like grading this damned pile of final papers (haven't even started). But for now I've got to do it. If we could just get funded & get to work

Now I feel a lot better. How about if Lou Nemeth & I showed up in Manhattan some AM this or next week (or whatever time is good) & ran through the presentation? Could be brief. (Lou is the manager-type guy, except much smarter.)

(Strolling down the right bank w/ gold dome of the Institut right across the river, medieval spires of the cite in front of you, Louvre to the left & the great nose of the city straight ahead, with French girls dressed & behaving like actual females everywhere, & the occasional Aston or Alfa or Lambo or Zonda streaking past: perfection.)

Paris fragrance, of course! But seems to me that any Paris group of spring girls is perfumed, just not as vividly as the golden-hearted whores. (Have you read Irving Shaw's masterpiece "The Girls in their Summer Dresses"?)

It's beautiful, & universal. (And "A year to learn the language"--another Shaw story, about a virginal American in Paris--another masterpiece.)
