Thank you for the fun dinner. You have done nothing wrong, you have been wonderful. I am sorry but I am afraid I can’t accept the car from you. It is clearly very expensive, yet getting it now, makes me feel cheap. Please understand I am not looking to get things from you. I thought you finally realized how pointless it is trying to find someone better than me. It looks like I misread your behavior. Sorry, it confuses me when you are so sweet and affectionate and then just leave and keep a distance. You know I like wrong but I’m afraid this is now past my threshold. Casual fun with you and leaving your house after dinner makes me feel like one of your paid friends and I can’t handle it. You have been perfect.
