If the sock freezes that opens the spring trap door that allows the air to keep flowing„ if the water line freezes, the excess water passes thru the ducts, eventually the water evaporates„ it's not a lot of water that's produced, its about an 1/8" line., that used to spray the water on the secondary heat exchanger's, the Gil would exhaust this water from the belly of the fuselage onto the ramp.

The important item is when the sock freezes, this happens if the sock is dirty with particles or oil,.
