A few things he should be thinking about so we can be more thoughtful on our recommendation.

Does he know whether he may: 1. Keep painting long-term or sell it? 2. Any plans to donate in future or after he dies, 3. Will he loan it?, 4. Is it for his personal enjoyment? 5. If he dies owning it will it be sold to pay estate tax? Or other liquidity to to pay it or will pass to charity? 6 does he have any trusts for the kids?
