i gave her your email! her name is 35 , a tiny woman. weighs 90 pounds, is taking 30 mg cymbalta , has trouble getting motivated , suffers anxiety, and is not doing well. thanks bill me of course
Thank you Peter for facilitating the re-connection! Jeffrey, I found the time spent with you to be enjoyable and fascinating, and I appreciate your hospitality. I welcome helping your friend if I can. Would you like to set something up through assistants, or let me know a few days/times that would work for you? Thanks very much,
Paul
Thank you -- she emailed me, and I will get in touch with her tomorrow and set up an appointment for when I am in New York the week of October 18. I appreciate your trust, and will take the best care of her that I can.
Jeffrey,
I hope that you are well. I saw last night, and although she was in a high degree of distress, I was [ ]
impressed by her resourcefulness and intelligence. I believe that I can help her, and that she is absolutely
capable of vastly improving her mental health. Medications are a part of this picture, but in the long run,
only a small part. The real change will come through psychotherapy, and we set the groundwork for this
last night. I spent two hours with her last night, and we are scheduled for 60-90 minutes on Friday. At this
point, I want to check in with you to learn if you are okay with paying for therapy through me, or if she
should try to seek this through a different route. I certainly would like to work with her, but I think its just a
reasonable courtesy for me to ensure that I am not planning something before we have discussed if you are
comfortable paying for it! My rates are pretty simple -- $1,500 for 90 minutes during intake, and $800 per

hour thereafter. Please let me know what you think. And, as its no surprise that you are a fascinating guy to talk to, if you are interested in meeting again under whatever circumstances you might prefer, please let me know! Take care,
Paul

Definitely -- should we set a time? I can talk any time after 6:30 this evening, or we can figure out something tomorrow if you have availability.

Thank you my dear Jeffrey, I met with him this morning and I must say that I never imagined speaking to someone could calm me like it does. He gave me meds... They are called clamazapyn. Not a long term fix but work instantly on my anxiety so I think they can be helpful for now. I take a half before bed because on Sunday night ( before I had met Dr conti) I was being woken up in the night by unpleasant panic attacks. This has now stopped. Long term we spoke about having me on a combination of either cymbalta and Wellbutrin or Prozac and Wellbutrin. He is really smart and helps me to see things in a very different light and he is very kind and empathetic.
My concern is the cost and that I feel uncomfortable putting this on you. Two things I can do is speak to aetna( my school medical aid) and ask my mother if she would be able to assist in some way.
