Also, to expose you my question in writing beforehand :

I was admitted to LLM starting in May 2015. Applying in January, i was certain to enroll then. However, the Swiss bank made me an offer with fantastic salary that I could not refuse, to work for them until 30 June. I accepted to work because It will allow me to earn enough money to sponsor my living during studies at Berkeley.

Therefore, I would like to discuss with you the possibility to defer my entrance to the program for 2016 ?

Also, I heard that it is possible to start LLM in June, after the 1st course? Or, I can do 2-3 courses this summer. and another 4-5 courses next summer.

As I wrote to you before, an American company pays the tuition fees for me which can already be transferred to the Berkeley University this month to secure a place for me for 2016.

Since I am also a student ofFoote des avocats (EFB), training to be a French Barrister. I will have to do a mandatory training in French law firm from January until June 2016 (6 months).

If Berkeley accepts to defer my entrance to 2016, I will do an internship in July and August in French law firm for EFB. The other 4 months of training would be January-April 2016. then, in May 20161can start LLM.

In October 2016,1will have French Final bar exam to pass.

Aa I exposed by phone, end of February 2015,1 got a contract with Swiss private bank until the end ofJune 2015. This job allows me to save enough funds to successfully pay for my life on Berkeley campus. Would be good to have news from you before 20 march 2015. Could you also confirm that there is a possibility to start courses on 9 June instead of 17 May? Thank you so much in advance.

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We can grant a one-year deferral ofadmission, to the 2016-17 LL.M. professional track.

Please be aware of our policy regarding your 51000 nonrefundable deposit. This deposit fee is required to finalize your admission to the LL.M. program, and under normal circumstances would be applied toward your tuition bill during your first semester at Berkeley Law. If your deferral request is granted, you will be again required to submit a S1000 deposit next year, which will be credited toward your first semester fees. Your initial S10O3 deposit will not be credited to your tuition, but instead be used to offset the administrative costs ofprocessing deferrals.

If you agree to this policy and wish to secure the deferral, go ahead and pay the deposit in one ofthe methods listed on the Tuition Deposit Form on our admitted students websitc,and submit the form as well. Once those are received I will put the deferral in place and send confirmation. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I) So do I quit bank job on 16 June 2015 instead of 30 June (as contract says), then start Berkeley later than program says which is 9 June 2015 and am done on I5 August 2016, passing California bar in February 2017 ? I will have to pass the very Final Paris Bar exams in September and November 2017. 2) Or, taking it slowly with less rush and defer to 2016? Then I am an American barrister by 2018.

At the end, do you wish to hire me to work for you to pay back the LLM expenses? Tuition fees, this is a super gill/scholarship - I truly wish to do a lot of legal work for you after I am an American-French qualified barrister.

ok, lets agree on deferral for 2016. Thank you for taking reasonable decision. Maybe if I listened to you in 2011 and went for Juris Doctor at University of Puerto Rico in 2011 (the only place where 148 as an LSAT Score would get me) I would have already been a qualified American Banister and was makingmoney!! I might organize it in a way to pass American Bar in July 2017 already, in case Berkeley takes me for LLM Traditionnal Track August 2016 - May 2017.
