scoping requirements pertaining to new buildings will be provided. The focus will be on occupancy-specific features needed in assembly, business, mercantile, retail, and transient lodging spaces. Finally, accessibility for existing buildings will be explored in the context of upgrade triggers and key exceptions that can have a major impact on design scope. This course will include interactive learning activities, and mini-case studies as an integral part of the morning and afternoon sessions.

• Instructor: Nate Wittasek, PE, LEED AP, Amp - Nate Wittasek of ARUP has engaged in accessibility codes consulting for over a decade. Using a foundation based on his in-depth understanding of fire and life safety requirements from the building code, Nate has sought to develop a holistic approach to codes consulting, wherein themes associated with life safety and accessibility are interwoven. Combining real-life examples and graphical depictions to enhance understanding, Nate brings over 15 years of current practical experience to the classroom. Nate is an instructor at the UCLA Extension, and an adjunct at the College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona, where he has taught accessibility for over five years.

Please let me know if it is possible so I can sign up.

Rob,

This looks like a good seminar. Can we get approval to send Jeff Becker? Looks like it is registration + a day's time.

Jeff, how is putting this on — what do we need to be a member of to save cost?

Jeffrey, Yesterday I sent you some flagpole pool images with questions. Have you had a chance to review them yet?

Attached are three version of the main residence.

  • Option 1:

[ ] o Same as last version with symmetrical stairs.

    [ ] o Added "portal" based on Gary's sketch.

[ ] o Added elevations to show matching roof heights.

• Option 2A:

[ ] o Landscaped version of terraces, less formal, offset.

• Option 2B:

  • o Similar to 2A, with stone walls

  • Option 3:

    [ ] o Similar to 2A, with narrower terraces.

Please send us your comments. What time do you want to speak tomorrow? Warwick
