I will definitely figure out some time to get together when you're in town. I'm still acting in the John Turturro movie which has turned out a bit longer than planned due to a delay from the hurricane. Soon-Yi and I will figure out some lunch or dinner time while you're here in town. If at any time you're up to it, I could screen an almost finished cut of my new movie for you in my cutting room but the only problem is if you're hating and are bored still you feel you won't be able to stand up and say "This stinks!" and leave (Of course, you would be free to do that)

Meanwhile, I had the brilliant idea that after our time in Paris on Christmas Day instead of flying off to your island (my worst nightmare) we could all fly off to Venice for a few days which is the best time of the year there. Just a thought.

Give me a call when you get to New York and we'll work out getting together.

Dear Lesley,

I wonder if I mentioned in our previous email exchange last week that the John Turturro movie has undergone some schedule changes due to the unforeseen intensity of the storm and it's aftermath. As a result of this, we might be working in the coming weekend so dinner on Saturday could be a little unfeasible - Friday night is good if Jeffrey is free but if not, Woody would plan it for some other night.

As for the screening of his new film, Woody would set up screening but again, weekends are not possible because the people projecting the movie are off on weekends - any other weekdays are (usually) practically fine.

For thanksgiving, Woody can't go away because numerous family members come over each year.

On another note, Woody wonders if Jeffrey gave any thought to Venice or was that a terrible suggestion? Strictly up to him.
