Ok When I was there last it was not mushy.
Will do. You ready. I am nervous and word from Steve?
John did contact the lady architect. It is the direct fault of the Zoning officer who told us we could erect it on the front patio. Johns only mistake is he did not confirm it with an email. Why would he they are all over town. He asked if we needed a permit, and we did not. I say throw John under the bus but it's the town that screwed up. Remember pergola is never mentioned in the ordinance. An accessory building which this is not has to be 150 off the road. This is not an accessory structure because it doesn't have a roof. We do need good pictures of the new house and pictures of other pergolas and trellises. It is a set back issue but the roof determines if it is an accessory structure. Remember this is erected on an approved patio that is connected to the house via footings. So what if you were to put furniture out there? How about flower pots or an American flag stand. Did you get a shutter permit? There not on the plan.
Oh good. Let's wash it

We are going to do great. I want to be confindent and start out with how sorry we are about erecting the pergola without proper permission. And pretty much I think we throw john under the bus for not doing the proper due diligence. He was our designer/architect and this is not his first rodeo bob. He should know you can't just get a verbal over the phone like that. He needs to research and he did not. I have been speaking with my dad a lot who had his own construction. Comapny when I was growing up. He knows all about this kind of stuff and new immediately we had either not followed a set back ordinance or didnt pull a permit. What exactly did we violate. I need to know. It's the set back right? It should be farther back if we want it? This has nothing to do

with a roof? We need to know the exact name of the lady architect also that john is supposedly working for. Did he ever sign a contract with her ?
Ha! Ok you sound like you totally know what is going on here. Did you see in the email from Pam Pooley and our case? I think we better plan on getting together prior to the board meeting for sure on Tuesday. I will work from home this day. So what is the set back that we are violating?
No I didn’t see Pams email. What does it say? Who is she. I have to go through 1,000 emails and either delete them or keep them. I am burnt.
