FW: Media Inquiry [Fox News]
Henan I hope this email finds you well and that you and your family had a great holiday weekend. I'm reaching out in regards to the arrest of Jeffery Epstein. We are looking to add some reporting of his case to our upcoming documentary on human trafficking (a round up of our recent series.) We were hoping that ADIC Sweeney would be available for a second interview. We would touch upon the Epstein case and how it fits into the trafficking issue at large. We were also hoping that he might be available for a live segment if possible. Thanks in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Regards,
Perry

Hello
[ ]
I hope t is email finds you well. I'm working on a new story on human trafficking today and I was hoping that either ADIC Sweeney or someone from the NY field office would be willing to provide comment.
This morning, we received a response to a Freedom of Information Act request we made to the Bureau's Washington Headquarters during our work on our original series regarding the number of trafficking arrests made, as well as, number of juveniles recovered for every year since the Bureau launched Operation Cross Country back in 2003. To our
EFTA00165212
surprise, the numbers seemed quite low. I've attached a pdf with the data so you can see for yourself. Would anyone be willing to comment for a written article to be posted on our website? We were just hoping that someone could explain the challenges or other issues associated with running an operation of this size. The first column is for the numbers of juveniles recovered while the data on the right is for pimps and traffickers arrested.
Regards,
Perry

HM , — thanks for reaching out. I hate to seem like I'm passing the buck, but Operation Cross Country is run out of our headquarters so any one field office wouldn't be able to discuss it in the detail you're hoping for. I will have to refer you to them.
Their main contact email is nm@fbi.gov — they're great about responding quickly. Hope that helps —
Thx. Might be worth having [redacted] and [blackout] look the PDF. They both ran the section.
