I was just with squad who said BOP is now viewing this as an attempted suicide and he is on suicide watch.

Of note...JE was moved out of gen pop after several gang members approached him and told him how to put money in their commissary acct.

Also of note...he reportedly is spending most days in interview room with his atty which is making others mad due to limited rooms.

SDNY advised that Epstein was found unconscious in his cell with red marks on his neck. When staff was able to revive Epstein, he couldn't recall what happened. His cellmate denied knowing anything and said he was just sitting on his bunk with his earphones on. Epstein was removed from the cell and has been medically evaluated. MCC has initiated an investigation per their SOPs. Of note, the cellmate is Nick Tartaglione. Yes....the former police officer and subject of our quadruple homicide in HVRA who has been approved for the death penalty. You can't make this stuff up.

Lastly, per SDNY, the Washington Post has made an inquiry of the incident.
