My name is Sudiksha Kochi and I am a fact-check reporter for USA TODAY. I am fact-checking a claim that says the FBI destroyed all of the evidence seized in Jeffrey Epstein's safe. This narrative is spreading widely in various posts on Twitter and Facebook liked and shared tens of thousands of times.
I understand from reporting elsewhere that the FBI searched E stein's safe in early July, but I was looking for a bit more detail than I saw in the testimony from . Hoping you can help me out so we're able to write up a response to this claim and attach it to the posts spreading it on social media.
Did the FBI destroy any or all of the evidence seized in Epstein's safe?
If not, where are the contents of that safe now?
