I hope you and your family have been well in the pandemic. You may recall that I brought Mark Epstein to your office because he had concerns about the investigation into his brother's death. He has of late been receiving demands for bitcoin in exchange for information and these have blossomed into death threats. I know we are actually in a holiday but perhaps you could call to discuss or direct an agent to do so. I am available 24/7.

SA Ponder spoke with Mark last week about this after Mark forwarded him an email. With your permission, I will ask SA Ponder to reach out to Mark again today to get information about any additional threats.

Thank you for your quick response! Mark only alerted me late last night. He noted he did not perceive the SA was concerned or interested. That is not meant to be rude at all! I think that Mark has handled everything very well-in ignoring the random contacts and approaches. This seems to be at another level from the initial threats immediately after his brother's death for which I had arranged personal security. Mark thought so much of the outreach to him was all false opportunists. Mark's family lives in my building (this is how I know him). I would appreciate that I could be copied on the contact so that I can answer questions and not be in the dark. I am hopeful this is just another extortionist assuming Mark had a relationship with his

bother beyond the distant correspondence and playing on the emotion of a person whose last childhood family member is now deceased.
