-wd: 060221 -- 2nd -- US v Maxwell order -- request from Reuters
Hi from New York. As you probably know, the 2nd Circuit again denied Ghislaine Maxwell's request for bail. On background until we publish, her lawyer is repeating the accusation that because Epstein died in the Manhattan jail, officials at the Brooklyn jail housing Maxwell decided to torture her and subject her to inhumane conditions. We would welcome any comment in response to those accusations and the 2nd Circuit order.
I have copied Ms. from the Bureau of prisons here, and the bureau is welcome to comment on the accusations concerning the jail conditions.
Anyone may forward these requests internally as appropriate.
Thanks in advance.
