Epstein / MCC

ma sked me to update you on what we learned from MCC just now:

• Epstein was found on the floor of his cell last not unresponsive, although apparently breathing. There were red stretch marks along his neck.

• He claims to not have a recollection of what happened. He said that within the last few days Tartaglione (his bunkmate) has threatened him.

• Tartaglione claims that he had his headphones on, was not paying attention to Epstein, and does not know what happened.

The MCC is investigating and will keep us posted. I discussed with whether we/FBI want to be more active in any [ ]
such investigation — not clear what the right answer is. Happy to discuss tonight or in morning if you'd like.
