Re: Jeffrey EPSTEIN
FYI, just received the below. The noose is a new detail I had not heard. I've reached out to to ask if he has any new information or reports.

Ok. Where is Epstein now? Is he still under at least suicide observation?

Just spoke with . It sounds like the SHU Lieutenant who wrote the first report about the incident only mentioned redness on Epstein's neck without mentioning any sort of object around the neck. Two other officers who responded to the cell apparently wrote supplemental reports saying that Epstein had something around his neck when they saw him. didn't have the reports in front of him when we spoke, so he couldn't be more specific. I've asked him to provide us with the reports as soon as possible.
What is status of getting whatever file / reports they have? Does not sound like we are getting reliable third hand information.

I don't know. I'll reach back out to to find out.
Did give you any timeline for getting back to us with the file? I am, in concept, fine with using — I agree that [ ] will be more efficient and likely result in us getting better info, but if has given us some assurance is going to get back to us quickly I don't wanna piss him off by effectively going behind his back.

I've asked to gather whatever he can and provide it to us, but that might take a while. [ ]
If we want to go directly to the MCC investigators, it might be good to ask one of our USAO investigators, like in to facilitate that. has great relationships with the MCC investigators and can usually get reports and files much more quickly than the lawyers can. Want me to ask to help? He can then provide whatever files/reports he receives to a neutral AUSA with no involvement in either case for an initial review before sending on to the Epstein and Tartaglione teams to make sure there are no statements that arguably touch on otherwise privileged information.
Sounds good, thanks.

He did not. I'll give him a call and feel him out about bringing in has worked with before, so it should be fine.
