Attached here FYI is a link to this week's obit, which you've probably seen already, for algebraic geometry's founder---something you mentioned specifically for Caitlin. FYI she just declared math as her major. She is taking discrete math next semester (along with linear algebra) which to my reading seems to have some algebraic geometry as part of it.
