Here’s
an “offer” that absolutely will not cost you one penny. On Monday evening
February 25th, my film “Black Magic”, a story of the injustice that
defines the Civil Rights Movement told through the lives of basketball players
and coaches who attended Historically Black Colleges only will have a fun
premiere event at The Apollo Theater. The Chairman of ESPN, Congressman Rangel
and Earl Monroe, one of my producers are hosting the evening. The film is
narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and Wynton Marsalis.
This
should be a special evening in New York City with a great and diverse mix of
people. Your invitation should arrive in 10 days. I’m writing to you in order
to ask if we can list your name on the printed invitation as one of the 200
“committee members”. I repeat, the evening is for free and you will never be
asked for any other contribution whatsoever.
The
only thing I can guarantee is that if the projector doesn’t break down you’ll
be proud of the film, and you and your guest will enjoy the evening.
To
make matters easier please just respond to this email with a YES.
Thanks,
hope all is well.
Cordially,
Dan
